I posted this question in another forum, please forgive the somewhat duplicate thread. I'm hoping to get a few more peoples thoughts... so...
Has anyone used Wyeast 1332, Northwest Ale strain to ferment a Classic American Pilsner?(close to 'Your Fathers Moustache' recipe) I intended to originally make a beer to grow a large yeast cake for 10-15 gallons of a Cain & Ebel clone that calls for 1332. I noticed Wyeast lists 1332 as a recommended option for CAP, traditionally a lager recipe. So I'm just putting the question out there looking for anyones actual experience or even opinions. I'm kinda starting to hope that the CAP will be a good beer in it's own right, not necessarilly just a 'starter beer'.
