Depends on what kind of extract it is, but usually you can just use 2-row to replace most of the extract (as long as it's "light" or "pale") to get to the same OG, and leave the specialty grains the same.

Recipes are written to the brewers specs...
For weight concerns: 1 lb grain = .75 lb LME = .6 lb DME
For weight concerns: 1 lb grain = .75 lb LME = .6 lb DME
