Hi Guys, does anyone know if Pilsner Extract can be used for No Chill? My ferm fridge will be held up for lagering for the next few months so I want to be able to do quick/easy extract-no chill brewing to try out a few things.

I've no chilled 2-row with great success, but have had DMS for Pilsner malt.
Would the extract have been processed enough to get rid of DMS precursors?

Thanks

DMS is less of a concern with extract. Did you have DMS problems with extract or grain? In my experience, you'd probably be fine as is, but if you are concerned you could just do a 90 minute boil before the no-chill.

The DMS was with grain, not extract.

I know it's supposed to be less of a problem, may be I will do a 90 minute boil... So much for the really short brew day!
