I have a beer blowing (ooooooozing) up thru the air lock. Should I change to a Blowoff tube? Would that just be an opportunity to introduce an infection?
Should I switch to Blow Off Tube?

Use a sanitizer and you will have no problems. If you have it in a spray bottle, spray everything down before you remove it.
Your beer is gassing off, creating positive pressure, there is very little danger of someting getting in.
On your next batches, always use a blow off.

blowoff tube right now. just sanitize it well and it will be fine.

Done!!! Thanks. I have done about 15 batches and only put a blowoff tube on one, until now!!!
