New to brewing, could use advice

so i make hard cider. i just made a 5 gallon batch of cinnamon/maple syrup and 2 1 gal batches of carmel/vanilla. after its done i heat it to about 150 deg F to kill the yeast (good/bad idea?)
i also want to start bottling and carbonating so i could use some advice. thank you
 
If you've killed the yeast you won't be able to carbonate in the bottles. No need to heat the mix.
