Saw this Levelcheck at the RV store today

It's a device that can measure the liquid level of propane tanks using ultrasound technology. I'm thinking it would probably work for beer kegs.
At $69 a pop, you would need to be a serious gadget geek, but might be the end-all to the age old dilemma of how to measure beer left in the keg.

No, that one get's you negative cool points... might as well take out the keg andf shake it to see how much is left.

I like the price of the analog unit better.

Get a digital luggage scale (found cheap everywhere online).

Use it for your propane tanks, kegs, grains and of course luggage.

I wonder if this would work for CO2 tanks also?

I don't need a digital scale if I'm going to go to all the trouble of disconnecting my keg just so I can pull it out of the fridge to weigh it. Once I'm that far, I can just give it a shake to see how much is left.
BTW, I do have a digital scale for all my other needs.

I'm not sure how thick of tank material it will read through. Maybe.

I looked at the questions for that one, and see that it works by measuring the temp change... that won't work for kegs that are at a steady temp.

Don't get me wrong... I have no intention of buying a $69 gadget for measuring kegs, but I've seen guys wanting to McGuyver all kinds of things.
