Hi everyone,
Here is a little about me.
Native California kid (Endangered species), born I Sacramento and migrated south, Graduated from UCSB 2001, Pharmacology/ biochemistry. Can I get a Woo Gauchos! So I know how to drink beer...
Currently am working on a Masters in molecular biology at SDSU and work in a Virology laboratory.
Started Brewing about 4 years ago. I bought a kit, 6gal bucket and 5gal glass carboy etc. and started brewing about every week end, and had a loyal band of beer swillers to help polish of each 5 gallon batch soon after it was ready. This was good because I got a lot of input about what I was doing. In the beginning I used extract with grain adjuncts, and experimented with many different recipes and different hops and yeasts. I brewed most every type of beer except lagers because I did not have a dedicated refrigerator, but that has changed. These days I have greatly reduced my output to about one keg a month, because I am in Graduate school these days so time is a little short.
Two years ago, I graduated to All Grain brewing and kegging (I will never wash a bottle again) built a One-keg keg-o-rator. My next goal is to start lagering, and to brew more!
