Any ideas for this wonderful Oatmeal stout?

From their website

The Poet has a rich, smooth malt character enveloped in tones of roast and chocolate. A soft mouth-feel brings luxurious flavors and soothing aroma. It pairs wonderfully with earthy flavors such as mushrooms and beef, while remaining the perfect accent to any chocolate. Cheeses to try: Fromage D’Affinois & Triple Créme’s.

o.g. 15˚ P - 5.2% ABV

Hmm, not much there that's specific -- any good oatmeal stout should have those characteristics. When someone says "earthy", though, I think Fuggles.

It is a great local brew that my friends and I enjoy. Would love to knock their socks off by creating something similar. Are there any great oatmeal stout recipes that people just love?

There are a lot of stout recipes here: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f68/

Some are better than others. If it's posted by someone who's been on HBT a long time (3k+ posts) you can be fairly sure it's good. Other recipes are no doubt good, because you don't have to be on HBT to brew, clearly, but you *know* ones from the old timers have been tried before at least.

Don't brew my recipe in that forum... it's meant to be easy, not awesome. ;)
