One of my favorite techniques is a partigyle mash. Usually you do a "big" beer and a "small" beer with virtually the same grain bill. I really want to brew this BDSA..https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f73/pious-westvleteren-12-style-quad-multiple-147815/ but only 5 gallons. It got me thinking that maybe I can do a partigyle mash with only Pilsener malt, use the first runnings for the Quad, and STEEP the specialty grains for 30 minutes in the wort. I will use the second runnings for something else....maybe 10 gallons of Kolsch. So what do you guys think?

Sounds tasty, shouldn't be a problem providing you have the required amount of receptacles/pots etc.
