From the Northern Brewer catalog:
This seems kind of strange...use a high alpha hop only in a low bitterness beer? The BC recipe for Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale calls for 1 oz. Chinook for bittering...is SNCA really a low bitterness beer at 47 IBU?
Chinook
Typical alpha: 11.0 - 13.0%. Best used in low-bitterness beers; overuse results in coarse, harsh bitterness. Occasionally used as an aroma hop. Minimum 60 minute boil recommended.
