Soda making has never really appealed to me compared to beer, but I just got back from tacobell and realized its the only time I get to enjoy Baja Blast.
I'd love to be able to mimic it.
Pepsi defines it as a Mountain Dew blasted with tropical lime.
I found this ingredients list, maybe someone could help me make some sense of it.
Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, natural & artificial flavors, caffeine, sodium benzoate (preserves freshness), sodium citrate, gum arabic, ascorbic acid and calcium disodium EDTA (to protect flavor), brominated vegetable oil, yellow 5, blue 1.
Not much help I know, but its the best I can find. I also happened upon a realistic taste description- One part mellow yellow, one part blue gatorade. Not the most elegant description I know, but that flavor sounds very close.
Ideas?
