Do you use pellets or whole hops? There are many viewpoints on this and a search will give you your options. If you use pellets, a stainless false bottom won't work. I made a nice hop taco that clogged with pellets too. So I resorted to an elbow fitting inside the kettle that runs a piece of copper pipe to the side wall/bottom. I whirlpool it and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I lose a little wort that way because of the keg space below the end of the pipe, but I just make slightly bigger batches. I never have a problem with clogs and it runs clear after the first few milliliters.
