I just purchased a used freezer to convert into a keezer. The previous owner used the freezer to store salmon. Now that the freezer has been unplugged and thawed, it stinks like fish. I've scrubbed the inside twice with soap and water, then scrubbed it with Oxyclean. Still stinks. Any suggestions on how to remove the smell? As much as I like salmon, I don't need that smell funkifying my beer, or kegs for that matter!

Thanks,

Jeff

I made a paste of baking soda and water and smeared it all over the inside of the keezer. I let it sit overnight and then rinsed it out. After that I made a dilute bleach solution, sprayed that in, let it sit for a few hours, then rinsed several times. Worked great.
