My neighbors always have a turkey fry the weekend before thanksgiving. I always brew an octoberfest for the occasion. I want to bring two brews so I'm looking for suggestions on what style of beer will go with fried turkey

You could try an English bitter. Or an amber ale like Dead guy or something would be better yet imo.

The porter does sound good with fried turkey. I deep fry turkeys all year long, cheap and easy. For bonus points try deep frying a whole chicken sometime.

Turkey + Deschutes Black Butte Porter = Heaven.
(okay, DBBP isn't technically a Robust Porter, but still...)

I drank Rogue's Chateau Cherry Dubbel last thanksgiving with my fried turkey and it was incredible. Something with a little sweetness seems to fit the bill
