I am racking a 6 gallon carboy of Concord today and would like to add some oak flavor to it.Could someone tell me how long should I let the oak sit in the wine before raking it off the oak.The oak I will be useing is American Oak 1 pound Heavy Toast.Any advice would be grateful

Not one pound of oak! More like one ounce, for a couple of weeks. That should give you enough oak flavor, but check it and when it's about right to your taste or a bit "too much", then rack it off of the oak.

This is the first for me with Oak.
