Hello all,
I'm having a problem with my first attempt at mead. The fermentation seems to be stuck way before it should be done (still overly sweet and syrup-like). I used Cote de blanc, added a few black tea packets, some lemon juice, and yeast nutrient. The fermentation started off fine but it started to slowly cease about 3 weeks ago. Still tastes fine but is stubborn in restarting.
What I've tried in order:
-I repitched another helping of cote de blanc with almost no effect
-Added some yeast energizer, a few chopped raisins, and another packet of cote de blanc. Shook the crap out of it. Bubbling sped up for about 1 day then slowed down significantly.
I've used up my small bag of tricks. Any ideas?
