I just dropped my carboy outside

Thank god it was a better bottle!

I was moving my double IPA outside since it was going to cool down these next few days and it totally slipped out of my hands- landed on one edge and shot out the air lock. Spattered some hops all over the balcony, screen door, and sweater covering it. I set it upright and ran to get a clean air lock then looked over the carboy for damage, nothing!

Thank god it was plastic! Near nightmare.

Were you able to save a majority of it?...Good aeration technique!!!
Ive got one better bottle and one glass carboy...I always have to go into "Be Effin carefull" mode when I move the full glass carboy.
good to her that they can be dripped full and not dent!

i didn't lose very much at all, maybe like 6 oz, I moved like a freakin cat as soon as I dropped it

When handling my kettle, HLT, glass carboys or even my better bottles I use rubber coated gloves. It's pretty cheap insurance.

I made a little cart for transporting full boils and carboys. Now all I have to do is lift up and down from the counter.

Don't they make little handles for helping you carry your BB's and Carboys? Might have been a nice thing to have.

I use a milk crate. That seems to be a popular option.

+1 on that!!! I have a whole bunch of milk crates. At least 1 for each carboy but probably a lot more because of a CL score.
