I'm brewing an extremely high gravity beer this weekend, and I need to make up a ton of starter.
I only have a 2L flask and a stirplate, so I was thinking about letting the 2L starter go for about 24 hours, then coldcrashing to get the yeast out of suspension, pouring off some of the liquid, then racking cooled starter-wort on top of that. Let it go for another day, then repeat.
Is this a good method for making buttloads of yeast?
