Looking for ideas for a large mash tun for a group brew.
Only used once or twice a year.

I was thinking the 55gal blue drums that are for sale.
Any other ideas?

It might be easier to have everyone mash in their own mash tun and then combine them in the drum.
 
Not sure what you want to spend, but a Rubbermaid stock tank might work. For a 100 gallon tank the galvanized ones are a little cheaper, but might not hold temperatures as well.
 
I would go for the 55 gallon food grade HDPE barrel, but I'm biased because I have 2 in my barn.

I'll be trying this if I end up needing the capacity. I'm converting one to an HLT/holding tank now.
