What are your experiences with Newport for bittering. I'm asking only because I'm thinking about a nuetral bittering hop to grow and this one looks very enticing from a yield standpoint. A search today really didn't turn up a ton of recipes, but the failures usually aren't reported here. I don't need any feedback on growing them, I can post in the growing forum for that if I need to. Just wondering if they're as nuetral in aroma/flavor as they're reported to be.

I used them in my 999 barleywine ofr bittering and the result is a very smooth bitterness. Ther eis no discernable flavor left by them and the bitterness is not harsh at all. If you are looking for a bittering hop that can add bitterness and nothing else, newport is a good choice.
