For some of us whom like to keep notes etc... on there brew day. I found a great website (this one is great also!) on keeping tabs of there progress throughout there brewing process.

Brewersfriend.com has some great printable sheets / checklist for all grain.
In PDF format which you can print.

I plan on printing off several of these and placing them into a binder (sleeve protected)
When needed, just fill in the info and have a reference for your brews.

I hope these help!

Thanks for the feedback on the templates. I use them when I brew, let me know if you have suggestions. I know the water tracking aspect of the all grain sheets could be improved.

Thanks Larrybrewer for your hard work!

The only things that I would change or add:
- Seperate area that clearly says "strike water" temp etc.
- Under the cost area. I would add a check box for a "kit" with a line for the vendors name to be filled in. Then add the amount the kit cost next to it.

But these are just my 2 cents!

Pretty cool and I love the .pdf format. I'm showing one of my co-workers the brewing process this weekend and this will come in handy.

My only suggestion: More slots for gravity readings.

I like to make my brew day easier by getting everything ready the day before. Make sure yeast starter is ready to go, grind and weigh out grains, gather all calculations, and gather equipment and ingredients. All the night before. With some people brewing 8-9 hours, every little bit of organization helps!

Cheers!

How many gravity readings do you take?

One each before and after the boil, one or two during fermentation (I generally ferment primary only), and one when I bottle.

I always take a reading or two between OG and FG to see where I'm at.

Just wants to add a great thanks here! Even though I'm not doing all grain this morning it is the first time i'm using my igloo cooler and the checklist is a great help and reducing the number of things to think about.

Why won't these open for me? I have the newest version of Adobe. Any ideas? I can see them but when I click to enlarge and print, they won't open.

Don't you have a job? I print this stuff at work, on laser, so it won't run when printed in ink at home! :drunk:
LOL - Sometimes I think the only reason I have a job is to print stuff :fro:

Anyway, I really like the brew sheet and will be using it in the future to supplement what I print off with BeerSmith. I plan to use the sheet for placement in a notebook for future reference, as I do when I make wine.

While I know that this is for brew day, one thing that would be a nice addition for me would be date racked and date bottled. BeerSmith needs that also...

Thanks for the sheet!
