...and bought polymer braid supply line - as opposed to stainless steel braid.

Would I have problems using what I bought? I already cut it up.

Yup time to spend another ten bucks. hey but its worth it AG is the S**t. lol

They have nice Stainless Steel connection hoses in the section with the water heaters. About $10 - $12, that's what I'll be getting.

Skip home depot and go to lowes. The stainless ones are hard to find at home depot but lowes has what you need.

if you have an ikea close by they have a stainless steel strainer that is PERFECT for a false bottom if you are using a round cooler and its only $6. All you need to do is drill a hole in it for a dip tube. I have two of them that I need to drill out (lazy!!). Essentially all you need is
1/2" ball valve
1/2" close nipple
1/2" Fpt to 3/8 compression fitting,
sharkbite makes a 3/8 copper tube with a 90 degree bend in it. All you need to do is cut the sealed end of the pipe.
and drill a hole through the side of of strainer to run the dip tube.

it may save you from having to upgrade later

My money loving heart hates having to spend another 10 bucks because of a stupid mistake. Sucks they make them look so much like steel, I guess reading the label would help.
Oh well. I guess it's time to RDWHAHB.
