So if I have a standard regulator hooked up to a CO2 tank and I have the hose split to pressurize two kegs, I cannot have only one keg hooked up to carbonate or else the CO2 will just out the other grey connector. Correct?

the CO2 is only going to exit the other grey connector if it's connected to something. if it's not attached to anything, no gas flows through it.

The grey connectors only "pass gas" when connected. Pressurize it, you will see. Put some soapy water in a spray bottle and check (everywhere) for leaks if this is your first time hooking it up.

cool, I'm going to spray sanitizer on a bunch of stuff tonight so I'll just spray it all over the keg fittings too.
