Are these compression fittings ok?

So I purchased some 1/2" stainless compression fittings from a guy on eBay who was suggested in another thread. I got them though, and the cap part (piece that clamps down and creates the compression with the fitting, pipe and ferule...not sure sure of the right word for it) is dark and not the shiny finish that I expect from stainless. Since this is the part that is in most contact with my beer, should I be concerned?
