I had a couple of hops leaves bypass my super deluxe hop stopper and block my syphon/aerating tube.
What to do?
Blow up the damn thing!!!!!!!!
I forgot to take a gravity reading on the way into the fermenter and took it an hour later from the fermenter.
SG on the way into the kettle = 1040 the I boiled off 7L
SG 1 hour after going into the fermenter = 1042.
Conclusion, the wort layered in the fermenter and I got a lighter layer at the top.
Oh well, never mind. It's beer.
Quick maths says.
1040 * 30L = 1200
1200 / 23L = 1052
