Hey guys,
3 Days ago I made a yeast starter with white labs super high gravity yeast for my xmas ale. Probably not the best choice, but i figured why not. Before I pitched the starter I tasted it and it was somewhat cidery and sulfury. Is this bad or are these just byproducts of fermentation? Thanks for the Input!

I've never used that yeast, but some yeast will put off smells and tastes like that when they're still active. It should fade in time.

yes, yeast has some off smells but fermentation does its work.... get some Star San :)
