I meant to brew last week but I got side tracked.I made up a starter and put it on the stir plate and then left it there all week.Will that starter be OK?There have been no drastic temperature changes or the like.

It probably fermented out in a couple of days and has since lost a small amount of viability. If you don't see anything bad in the starter it is probably good to go. If you are concerned make up 250 ml of 1.040 wort and add it for 16-24 hours then pitch. Or cold crash, decant then add the fresh "booster" addition. For timing you could just wait until it looks like it is at full krausen and pitch the whole thing then.
