Damaged my rind

I have some Monterey jack aging in my cheese cave. It had some white mold on it so I patted that off with some cold salted water, when placing it back I accidentally took a chunk out of the rind against the inside of the fridge. Will this allow mold to grow on the inside or will I be okay? It only has 1 week of aging left.
