Recommend a gateway beer recipe?

Its no fun having friends that don't appreciate real beer. I'd like to brew something that will hopefully widen some of my buddies' tastes, and allow them to see what they could be experiencing on the other side of the fence.

Anybody have an AG recipe that has garnered lots of praise from BMC drinkers, but is not a light beer?

Look at Biermuncher's recipes such as Cream of the Three Crop or Centennial Blonde...also Ed Worts Pale ale is popular as well...

But Biermuncher's are pretty close to BMC's (except they have flavor) that people who only know macrobeers actually enjoy.
