Does bottle conditioning temps matter??

The reason I ask is I can't put them in the air conditioning and it's very hot in the basement. Was bottled 3/4 cup corn sugar into a little over two cups water into a cream ale.

The room that I bottle condition in gets up to 80-85 during the afternoon, and I've not noticed any ill effects as yet. What do you consider very hot?
