I used my first yeast starter this week on an IPA with an OG of 1.070. It was a success and fermentation started quicker and more vigorously than normal. Anyways, I know yeast starters are typically recommended for beers with an OG over 1.060. I was just wondering if it would hurt to use them on every beer? Or is there a danger of over pitching with some of the lighter beers?
