Hi. I am cranking the google machine and not coming up with the answers I am looking for. Basically, what I am looking for is a webring for vets in New York's Hudson Valley that could point us to senior centers or places where my grandfather could spend a couple hours playing pinochle. He's a 90 year old Seabee who just lost his wife on Thursday, and we are trying to fight boredom and depression, especially seeing as how he has kept so cheerful.
We would have went with the VFW, except that he is no longer able to consume alcohol, and the temptation might be there if he is around other vets having a beer. I should also admit that while he has remained remarkably sharp, he also has vascular dementia... so competitions etc. are most likely not realistic. Anyone who knows of any resources will be appreciated.
