OK, I have a post going upstairs but I'm also posting here because beer is different than wine. I have an RO machine at the grocery store nearby and for 5 gallons it is $1.25. Upstairs in brewing they say the water needs some minerals to add character to the beer and for yeast.

In this specific example I am adding water to an Island Mist kit to get 6 gallons. Should I be that concerned about the water, especially since I am adding the juice concentrate?

yeah... use clean water! but distilled water is not usually the best to use. I use arrowhead water in the jug, works great for me so far!
