looked at freshops rhizomes and founds this link off there site to Tyme Garden Company. They are selling the organic hops for just a few pennies more.

Is there a difference other than how they are grown?
I realize organic means organic, no chemicals or anything like that....

But if you grow a organic hop right beside a normal hop.
Can you tell the difference?
By that i mean, Growing, bitterness, yield, disease resistent etc....

Thanks for the imput

Organic means no chemical pesticides or fertilizers.

If they are selling organic hop plants then it means they are an organic farm. But the minute you plant them in your yard (unless your yard has been organic or 2 - 3 years already) they instantly become non-organic hops.

Pesticides are really the issue, IMHO. Our entire garden uses no pesticides and just manure, although I'm not opposed to regular nitrogen based fertilizer. I'm sure there is some reason we may not be "certified" organic, but it's good for me.

So buy non-organic, plant, and avoid as much pesticides as possible. It'll be as organic as you want from that point on.....
