I need a bucket that I will use only for bottling. Can I use a bucket from home depot or similar or I really need a bucket that I get at a brew store?

thanks
Ernie

I've used a 5 gallon bucket from Lowes for a few years, but I would recommend getting a bigger one. I usually fill it almost to the top. I think any new or used bucket that is not scratched and can be sanitized is fine as long as it wasn't used for something that could poison you or add off flavors (like pickles).

Any food safe 5 gallon (or bigger) bucket will work just fine. I think quite a few of the guys use the Home Depot bucket around here.
