Hey all! Our apartment garden is really starting to take off, especially after taking care of the severe aphid problem.

I thought it would be fun to have a thread to show off your edible and decorative garden plants!

What looks to be our first usable fruit, a Giant Marconi pepper about 5 inches long

Black Beauty zucchini are really taking off with about 8 fruit a couple weeks from harvesting. The Crookneck squash aren't nearly as progressed but there are plenty of both male and female flowers.

Yup, tomatoes in the flower bed. These plants germinated from last year's dropped fruit.
I know the door is held open with a bungee cord. It's for the dog. :)

Holy zucchini, Batman! It's about 10 inches long and going to be our first harvestable anything. A crookneck is playing catch-up a bit behind it.

Brewing my own so I have some beer while restoring old tractors and truck.

Our first year garden has been a bit of a bust ~ we got a few tomatoes, green beans and cukes out of it and that's about it. However, our deck herb garden has been going like gangbusters.

It is a sub-irrigated planter made from a large party tub and some drain tile. We have basil, oregano, tarragon, thyme, sage, garlic chives and lemon verbena in it. It is great to be able to step out the back door and snip some fresh herbs right when you need them.
