Hi,
This is my first time with this type. After 12 hours it is fermenting like crazy, 4-5 seconds/bubble and it's been on for two days. However, its smell is kind of strong, and seems like more on sulfite (sp?). Much much stronger than any of my previous pale ale patches. Is this normal for honey porter?

One thing that worries me is that during cooling down the wert, a strong wind blast dust of rain water (it was raining) into my canopy, I put on the lid over my brewpot after that. I think not much of rain water got into the pot, but some did get in.

Thanks.

It is Whitelab Burton Ale, amber Extract + honey. Progress hop.
It's getting even stronger now!
