I have been at it for about a year now and am on my second upgrade to a 25 gal kettle. I would prefer not to keep buying carboys. What alternative containers are acceptable and user friendly for fermentation? Though I am new, I like to build things to rather than just go to the store and buy them. How creative can I get and with what that won't hide bacteria?
 
try the large garbage tote. not sure if its food grade but it has wheels, 60gal I think, not sure if its food grade though..could use a plastic food grade bag liner. I know they make those
 
Thanks, this leads me to a few new thoughts. I'm off to check em out.
