Had a 16oz draft at Barley's taproom in Greenville.
If you've had the Mikkeller/BrewDog I Hardcore You IPA, this is on steroids.
This beer is a medium amber with a white, thin head.
The aroma smells like a hop garden, lots of earthy, nutty, almost pine notes, but a nice citrus undertone.
The taste is unlike any IPA I've ever had- it has a very quick hop bitterness that comes through like an unripened citrus fruit, and glues the tongue to the roof of the mouth. It then transitions to a soothing white grape/grapefruity sweetness that dissipates to a never-ending lingering hop bitterness (I could taste it a full 20 minutes after finishing it, no joke). The lacing never came off the glass and was outrageously sticky.
It is very high gravity, but drinkable for the serious hophead and a steal at $7.50/pint.
Amazing beer.
