I've brewed four batches and my stainless steel pot is already showing some wear and tear. Does anyone know what the spots are from? They have been there since my first batch cooked on my stove. I've done two batches on a propane burner and you can see the burner support outline in the bottom of the pot. I use LD Carlson's Easy Clean to clean it and have been getting the scaling that you see. Can any one suggest ways to remove the spots and scaling?

+1 on the vinegar. Just pour a cup or so in with a couple cups of water. Splash it around with a dish towel, let it sit for 5 minutes then give it a light scrub with the towel. A quick rinse and you are good to go.
