Made 2 new meads today because I was bored. For some reason I had a hankering for a black tea mead so I went to the store and got a box (20 pouches) English Black tea.
I realized when I got home, that 20 bags wasn't enough, so I supplemented with 20 more bags of lipton.
steeped 40 bags in about ~2g of piping hot near boil water for 10 minutes. Added ~15# of honey and dissolved then put into carboy with some more water once it cooled down.
I also bought a box of Green Tea Chai, but I didn't have time...but I'm anxiously awaiting monday so I can do that.
I also made a cyser...3g apple juice, 15# honey, topped up with water.
I'm thirsty for meads now. Gonna go raid Claphamsa's Meadery cellars tomorrow on Lambic brew day...
