Many years ago, (around 50), I had a recipe for Sake.. I don't remember the exact amounts, & am hoping that maybe someone else has done this or similar, & can refresh the amounts for me.. Into a glass gallon jug, I put in 1lb raisins, water, & yeast, I think 1 pkg, & raw rice, (uncooked). The raisins would all sink to the bottom, but when they became plump, & all floated to the top, it was ready for straining,, can't remember if there was another ingredient or not.. Something makes me think there was sugar, but can't remember how much if there was, or how much rice..
Has anyone ever made anything like this & update me as to ingredients & amounts?
