This weekend I scored a 10 gallon stainless steel pot for 55 bucks from the flea market vendor. I was ordering a ball valve and thermometer to install and I have a question.
If I install a thermometer into the side of the pot, will that prevent me from using an ice bath? I am worried about submerging the thermometer and breaking the dial or the internals somehow.
