I have been toying around with a coconut brown ale on Beer Alchemy. I would like to get your thoughts on this recipe. I am looking to go after a beer styled after Kona Brewing Co Koko Brown Ale.

6.05 US gals
OG: 1.057 SG (14.5 Brix)
Final Gravity: 1.014 SG (8.0 Brix)

10lb 11oz of US 2-Row Malt
1lb of US Caramel 60L Malt
14 oz of US Victory Malt
8 oz of US Flaked Oats
4 oz of Belgian Debittered Black Malt
4 oz of UK Pale Chocolate Malt

Also add the following during the mash
16.00 oz of unsweetened toasted Coconut flakes

single infusion mash at 151 degF for 60 minutes.

0.25 oz of US Warrior (60 Min From End)
0.25 oz of US Nugget (45 Min From End)
0.50 oz of US Cascade (10 Min From End)
0.50 oz of US Willamette (5 Min From End)
12.00 oz of unsweetened toasted Coconut flakes (15 Min From End)

60 minute boil

Wyeast 1056-American Ale

Rack to secondary and add 16.00 oz of unsweetened toasted Coconut flakes

How did this recipe work out for u? I'm on the big island right now having one of Kona's koko browns. It is awesome. I can't wait to copy it.
