Adding Wort to the Fermentation process

Say you had a larger fermenation tank but you had a small kettle and you wanted to fill the fermenation tank several times. So for instance, If i were to have a 750 gallon fermentation tank and a 55 gallon kettle and each time I was done with a boil I would add to the fermentation tank. Would this ruin the beer? What are the possible disadvantages and advantages.
I will appoligize of the grammer up front.
 
Most commercial brewers do exactly that. Widmer has a 250 barrel mash system with six 750 barrel and six 1000 barrel fermenters in Portland.

Although in your example, it would take months to fill the fermenter.
 
Wow thats great. Do you know any techinque to use when doing the transfer? For instance, would you add yeast with each addition to control contamination?
