Copper prices are up from $3.75/lb to $4.25/lb in the past 30 days alone. Inventories are way down due to a supply shortage. Nickle is also spiking.

While I'm mostly just mentioning it because I found it interesting, I do think you'll see the price of copper tubing going up significantly (like 15+%) in the next couple of months. I think this will apply to other metals that are important to us in home brewing like stainless due to nickle prices.

The good news is this is almost certainly early signs of an economic recovery underway.
 
I work in an industry with lots of copper and I've heard next year they are expecting Copper > Stainless prices, it probably would be a good idea to purchase any copper items now.
