I made Joe's Grape Mead and it has had some pretty crazy fermentation, but in past couple of days it has developed these large bubbles. Is that an infection?

You can get fermentation foam (not sure if its still Krausen with mead or wine) with almost anything you ferment and thats what it looks like to me.
If it were my mead I would be happy to see a fermentation like that!
