It's been awhile since I posted anything here (I apologize for that), but I was wondering...have any of you good ol' Tejas boys tried the Shiner 99? It's pretty good stuff, if you're in to lagers.

IMHO, it's pretty ok stuff, if you're into beer. I drank it all night once when there wasn't anything else remotely resembling decent beer. As with most Shiner products, it's pretty bland, but it's quaffable in rather large quantities...and beware the hangover.

...and if you're ordering it at a bar, don't ask for "Shiner Helles," especially if you pronounce "helles" correctly. Just call it "Shiner 99."

It's a nice helles, but on the sulfury side. I've enjoyed a fair number of them. It's a nice, simple malt profile that is a little sweet but finishes dry with a touch of hops.
