On beertools.com no real agenda is set, I brewed an APA. Boiled the wort (prehopped) for 45 minutes, then added hops for 90minutes at different times, is this too long, (135 minutes boil in 5.5 gal batch) when done I had 3 galllons left. Btw my first AG and ill never go back, all grain is so easy and a lot more fun!
 
Generally yes, most any beer can be boiled in 60 minutes. 90 minutes for brews with a lot of pilsen malts. Sometimes you might want to go longer if you really need to boil down the wort down and you want the character it imparts to the brew.
