You can brew up a fierce SMaSH pale, ipa or dipa with Chinook.

I grow Chinook along with Centennial, Cascade and a little Fuggles, and the Chinook is my go-to bittering agent for all my 'Murrican pales and ipas. You do have to get an approximation for the AA content for the home-growns to use them for bittering; if you harvest enough you could brew up a small (1g) test batch and then adjust and scale the hop schedule to a full batch as needed...

Cheers!

Definitely an IPA. But I would bitter with something smoother like Magnum and save the Chinook for the last ten minutes for a big, resiny, piney taste. And dry hop with Cascades.
